- Germany add fifth as Emre Can curls in from edge
- Antonio Rudiger own goal gives Scotland some joy
- Niclas Fullkrug scores fourth for Germany
- Germany add another in first half through Kai Havertz

Scotland made a nightmare start to Euro 2024 on Friday night as they were beaten 5-1 by hosts Germany in Munich.
The Tartan Army were on the back foot for the entire game at the Allianz Arena and went a goal down in the opening 10 minutes.
Florian Wirtz opened the scoring before Jamal Musiala added a second with a storming finish into the roof of the net.
Just before half-time, things went from bad to worse for Steve Clarke’s side as Ryan Porteous was sent off before Kai Havertz dispatched a penalty.
Having 10 men then made a huge impact after the break, with Scotland having to sit back and endure an onslaught.
They did manage to survive for a while, but substitute Niclas Fullkrug fired in a fourth.
An own goal from Antonio Rudiger provided a consolation for the Tartan Army, at least until Emre Can added a fifth deep in stoppage time.

Germany 5-1 Scotland: REACTION
Julian Nagelsmann enjoyed a 5-1 victory in his first-ever match at the Euros.
He is now only the second manager to win by 4+ goals in his first game at the European Championship.
The other boss to achieve that feat was Lars Lagerbäck in 2004 (Sweden 5-0 Bulgaria).

Germany 5-1 Scotland: REACTION
At the age of 21 years and 42 days, Florian Wirtz became the youngest player to score for Germany at the European Championship.
He also became the youngest player to score the opening goal of a Euros tournament.
Wirtz and Jamal Musiala's goals meant Germany became the first nation in European Championship history to have two players aged 21 or younger score in the same match.

Germany 5-1 Scotland: REACTION
Andy Robertson's interview angered Roy Keane on ITV and the pundit let rip on the Scotland left-back.
He said: “Andy Robertson spoke at the end of the game saying that they had a game plan – it’s all well and good having a plan – he said they weren’t aggressive enough but you have to be aggressive in a game of football.
“You’re playing against an opponent who are much stronger than you, so being aggressive is part of being a footballer.
“I love watching skilful players and the talent that we saw from the German players tonight is great to watch, but my goodness, when you’re playing football at this level you’ve got to hit people.
“Hit them properly, hit them aggressively and in the right way.
“If you step off against them like Scotland did tonight then it’s no good speaking after the game saying ‘we had a game plan’ – it’s rubbish.
“Andrew Robertson, it's just rubbish coming out. You knew before the game what was at stake so it’s no good after the game going ‘we regroup and we’ll be angry tomorrow’ – you should be angry for a long time.
“We spoke before the game about creating history, well they’re creating history by playing as badly as that and letting the manager and supporters down.”

Germany 5-1 Scotland: REACTION
Scotland captain Andy Robertson has given an honest review of a battering in their Euro 2024 opener.
He told ITV: "First half, we just got it all wrong really, didn't show up, weren't aggressive enough, and we let good players get on the ball.
"They had a gameplan, as did we, but theirs worked a million times better.
"Second half, we're down to 10 men and I thought lads dug in really well.
"We’re so well backed over here, today was hugely disappointing.
"We have to bounce back quickly because there was lots wrong here and it’s a quick turnaround now.
"Maybe it's a reminder of how tough this tournament is.
"Their big players showed up and were excellent all over the park and had an answer for pretty much everything we had.
"I don't think we’ve played to our maximum. We have to dust ourselves down and go again."

Jamal Musiala truly arrived on the European stage in Munich, constantly tormenting the Scottish defence.
