STORY. JAMES. Bishop O'Hara Expected to Go To Bucharest ROME, June qualified source said Tuesday that Catholic Bishop Gerald 1 P. O'Hara, of the Savannah-Atlanta diocese, probably would go to Bucharest as Papal Nuncio to replace Msgr. Andrew Cassulo, reported being withdrawn demand of the Romanian Government.a Bishop O'Hara is in Rome.

Earlier, the English-language newspaper daily American said it had learned from well-informed Vatican sources that the Vatican, yielding to Romanian demands, had decided to recall Cassulo. The Daily American said the "Communist-sponsored" Romanian Government asked the recall on the grounds that documents, alleged to have been uncovered during the trial of former Premier Ion Antonescu compromised the nuncio. The newspaper said the Vatican rejected the first demand but acceded to a second "strongly worded" one. The newspaper said Cassulo's successor had been named and accepted by Romania. Several times during the last few months, the name of Bishop O'Hara has been mentioned in connection with verified rumors that the Vatican was considering him for a position high in the ranks of the Holy See.

Tuesday's dispatch from Rome, however, was the first to diout of that city, unofficially connecting the rumors to the Vatican. Bishop O'Hara has been in Italy for several weeks.
